Adhesion (Adhesion Strength): Force per space needed to de-bond tile from tile adhesive or tile adhesive from the substrate.

Tile slipping: the linear distance that the tile would sag (slip) from it’s original position once it’s fixed over a tile adhesive on vertical wall/Substrate.

Workability (Pot-life): the duration of time, that would take from the mixed paste to lose its ability of application, starting from the moment the water touches the powder.

Open time: the maximum allowed time between the application of the tile adhesive over the substrate and fixing the tile, that let the tile adhesive demonstrate acceptable adhesion after the curing time.

Adjustability: the maximum allowed time to adjust the fixed tile position without significant loss of the adhesion.

Deformability is the ability of the tile adhesive to deform as a reaction to an applied load without cracking.
