Contrary to the popular belief, installing and waterproofing ceramic tiles on balconies is quite simple, provided you do so with the right techniques. Here’s how:
To begin with, apply Mapecem Pronto over a coat of fresh Eporip to install a bonded screed.
Let it rest for 3 hours.
Post that, waterproof the area with the first coat of Mapelastic Turbo and Mapeband Rubber. Then position with Mapenet 150 mesh.
After an hour, apply the second coat of Mapelastic Turbo. Three hours later, fix the tiles using Elastorapid adhesive.
The last step requires grouting the tiles. Do so with Ultracolour Plus and then seal the joints with Mapesil AC.
In just 13 hours, your balcony is ready.
