Adhesives
Tile adhesive is a ready-mixed adhesive made of Portland cement, selected fine sand, and additives to improve its essential properties for laying tiles. The purpose is to glue tiles, ceramic, porcelain, mosaics or stones, granite, marble, to a substrate (walls, floors, swimming-pool, façade, etc…)
To choose the correct and suitable tile adhesive it is important to consider three main elements:
- Area of use: environment, location, industries, swimming pools, facades…
- Substrate: concrete, gypsum, steel…
- Type of tiles: mosaic, ceramic, marble…

1- Wrong proposition of specific tile adhesive 2- Wrong application 3- Extreme temperature variation / substrate movement 4- Bad substrate preparation / weak substrate 5- Open time not respected.

1- Use the right product as per the technical datasheet 2- Ensure a good substrate preparation 3- Follow the application method statement instructions for the mixing and application 4- Apply PRIMER for Gypsum, Cement-boards (very porous substrates) and let dry for 10 to 30mn before tiling
